THE 2020 DISTRICT 202 STATE REPORT CARD
ISBE in March waived all state testing and accountability measures among several efforts to ensure equity and support schools and students as COVID-19 pushed schools to quickly implement remote learning.
Therefore, all 28 District 202 schools have been designated as either “Exemplary” or “Commendable,” as they were last year, under the federal “Every Student Succeeds Act” (ESSA).
Students are scheduled to take state accountability assessments again next spring.
The ESSA assigns four designations to schools based on 10 indicators of performance including student growth: Exemplary, Commendable, Underperforming and Lowest- Performing:
Preschools including District 202’s Bonnie McBeth Learning Center are not assessed. Scores for Plainfield Academy, which serves both high school and middle school students were incorporated into their home schools’ results.
