🌟 Kindergarten Exploration Time! 🌟
What is kindergaren exploration time?
It is a hands-on, play-based learning time that sparks curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving! Through dramatic play, STEM activities, and interactive stations, children explore, experiment, and grow while building social, emotional, and academic skills. Exploration is all about learning through play and watching our little learners discover and thrive every day! Each classroom has three different exploration times built into their schedule.
Ms. Grimaldi, our incredible speech and language pathologist, has been visiting classrooms to share about AAC in honor of Augmentative and Alternative Communication Awareness Month. What an amazing and inspiring presentation!
What a day! The 73rd Plainfield Community Homecoming Parade filled downtown with music, school spirit, and community pride this past weekend!
This year’s theme, “Literary Legends – Celebrating Famous Characters from the Last 100 Years,” honored the Plainfield Area Public Library’s centennial. Leading the parade was Grand Marshal Mindy Jackson, the library’s School Services Librarian, who has spent decades inspiring a love of reading in District 202 students. 📚✨
A wonderful tradition for decades, the parade once again showcased the energy, talent, and pride of our schools and community.

Flags at all District 202 buildings will fly at half-staff through sunset Sunday out of respect for the victims of the school shooting in Minneapolis on Wednesday.
Students spent the first two days of school learning and understanding the importance of following our three schoolwide expectations: Be respectful. Be responsible. Be safe.
