We are mourning the loss of Tom Hernandez longtime Director of Community Relations who passed away April 15, 2024.
Superintendent of Schools Dr. Glenn Wood said Hernandez was a thoughtful, caring person representing District 202 proudly and professionally.
“Tom Hernandez was a true champion for District 202 and was well known for his professionalism, positive attitude, and big heart. He was known as “The Voice” of 202 because he made the school cancellation phone calls and often served as emcee for district and other events. Hernandez’s legacy is one of compassion and community. He will be deeply missed.”

Wesmere is partnering with the Chicago Fire for a group outing on July 13th at Soldier Field when the Chicago Fire takes on the New York City FC. Tickets are $25 with 20% of proceeds coming back to Wesmere. If we reach 100 tickets, all participants are invited to go on the field after the match for a picture!
